What are our

Core Values?

Our five core values shape how we follow Jesus, love people, and live on mission together. They define how we operate, where we place our focus, and bring clarity to the kind of church we believe God has called us to be.

Our Core Values

Learn more about the core values that guide and direct us as a church.

We Focus on Jesus

Jesus is the center of everything we do, and we align our lives, decisions, and church around His truth and His way.

We Pray First

We depend on God first, seeking His guidance, power, and presence through prayer before we do anything else.

We Love to Serve

We joyfully use our time, gifts, and energy to serve others and make a difference inside the church and in our community.

We Get to Give

We see generosity as a privilege, not an obligation, and we give faithfully because God has first given so much to us.

We Grow Together

We believe life change happens in community, so we intentionally pursue relationships that challenge us and help us grow in our faith.

FAQs

Why do core values matter at Journey Church?

Our core values guide everything we do. They shape our culture, influence our decisions, and keep us aligned with who God has called us to be as a church.

How do these values show up in everyday church life?

You’ll see our values in how we worship, how we serve, how we give, and how we build relationships. They aren’t just statements on a page—they’re lived out in our teams, our groups, and our community.

Can I get involved in living out these values?

Absolutely. Whether it’s joining a Dream Team, getting in a group, attending Grow Class, or serving in our city, there are so many ways for you to actively live out these values at Journey.

Are these values only for leaders?

Not at all. These values are for everyone who calls Journey home. We believe every person has a role to play in focusing on Jesus, leading with prayer, loving to serve, giving generously, and growing together.
