Gift of Grace
Day: 18
Scripture
Ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.
Main Idea
Today, we are sharing with you a message close to our hearts – the incredible gift of God's grace. Our scripture comes from Ephesians 2:8-9, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast." Grace is such a profound concept. It's about receiving love and favor that we haven’t earned and don’t deserve. The question here is: How does this grace touch every part of our lives? It’s in the gentle sunrise that brings us a new day, the kindness of a friend, and even in those quiet moments when we might feel alone, yet we know that God is with us. We can see this concept of Grace in a story, about a mother and her child. There was this mother, who had a young son. This boy, like all children, sometimes made mistakes. One day, he broke a family heirloom, a vase, while playing. He was scared, thinking he'd be punished. But when he confessed to his mother, expecting her anger, she instead wrapped him in a warm hug with a big smile. She said, “I love you, and nothing you do can change that. We can replace a vase, but we can never replace you. You are precious to me.” That, my friends, is a picture of grace. Unmerited favor. Love without conditions. Just like the mother’s love for her child, God’s grace towards us is unconditional and unending. It's not dependent on what we do or don't do. It's a gift, freely given, and it's this grace that saves us, renews us, and gives us hope. May you always remember the depth and beauty of God's grace in your life.

Application
Read Ephesians 2:8-9 again. Do you need to receive a greater understanding of God’s grace in your life? How could a greater understanding of grace help you in your relationship with others?
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your grace. Like a mother's unconditional love for her child, Your grace covers us. Help us to embrace this gift and extend it to others in our lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
