Purpose

Day: 12

Scripture

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Main Idea

In Jeremiah 29:11, God declares, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." This verse is a powerful assurance that our lives have a purpose, intricately woven into the fabric of God's divine plan. The search for purpose is not merely a human endeavor; it's a spiritual quest. Matthew 6:33 says, “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” What are the things that need to be added to your life right now? Go ahead, seek first the kingdom of God and His purpose for you personally, and watch this promise take effect as your life simply aligns to His good plans. God’s purpose for us goes beyond our careers, relationships, or personal achievements. It's a purpose that encompasses eternity and is rooted in His boundless love for us. Take a moment to reflect on your life and seek God's guidance. Ask Him to reveal His purpose for you. In this season of prayer and fasting, let's surrender our plans to His sovereign will. May this new year be a time of alignment with God's purpose, a time of stepping into the unique calling He has for each of us. Let's pray for clarity, courage, and conviction to walk in the purpose that God has ordained for our lives.

God’s purpose for us goes beyond our careers, relationships, or personal achievements. It's a purpose that encompasses eternity and is rooted in His boundless love for us.

Application

What’s one thing has God asked me to do that I’m too scared to try? How will following my purpose force me to trust God more? Whom can I lean on to support my purpose?

Prayer

Father, thank You for creating me on purpose and for a purpose. As I discover all You have for my life, help me live with intentionality each day. I want to be used by You and put the gifts You’ve given me into action. Show me even more ways to make Your name known to others. Increase my awareness of everyday opportunities where I can live out my specific purpose. Thank you for using me to make a difference! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
