Proverbs 11:11 (MSG) says, "When right-living people bless the city, it flourishes." This verse is a powerful reminder of the impact we can have on our city when we live in alignment with God's principles. Our actions, rooted in righteousness and love, become a source of blessing for the very places that we call home. In Jeremiah 29:7, the Lord instructs, "But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare, you will find your welfare." We are not called to be passive observers but active partners in the well-being of "Our City." Through prayer and intentional acts of love and service, we can contribute and impact our communities. In Matthew 5:16, Jesus encourages us, "Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." That’s one of the reasons we gather as a Church, that’s the reason we do Social and Community Outreaches. All the activities and programs we have are for one purpose. To share God’s love and let the brightness of His light shine through us. We serve and honor our city, so that others can see and sense Christ through us. As followers of Jesus, we are called to be the light, illuminating the darkness around us. Our actions, guided by God’s love and righteousness, become a testimony to God's goodness and grace. As we continue in prayer and fasting, let's seek God's guidance on how we can awaken our city, on how we can actively love, lead, and serve. Together, we can make a difference and reflect the goodness of God in our city!
